When the pandemic started, the creatives of the network were just beginning to generate our connections and to have dialogues that ranged from particle physics and astrophysics, as the context of the first cycle, the forms of organization at various scales that we explored in the 9th Creation - Art and Science Encounter, which were an important reference to think also our network, to the new questions about the nature of what was/is happening. The space of the 1st Suratómica Festival, planned for April 2020, would be that first meeting space for all of us. However, by postponing it, as a barely emerging network we are looking for a way to stay connected.

The Creation Groups were born in this context. A digital space, initially, through which we can explore the themes that most interest us and share our creative processes with others. The Groups give a space to those primary ideas, which are difficult to find in other environments, to doubts from the conceptual to the technical in the construction of the work, to discussions and, of course, to collaboration. They have also been a space to share our experience and our reflections on the current context, both on the pandemic and quarantines, as well as the social and political context, especially in Colombia.

The response from the Network has been impressive, and the openness of diverse creatives to share their ideas, processes and projects freely in these groups is one of the greatest examples of how collaboration allows us to better create new knowledge and new forms of knowledge. All creatives connected to the network, and those who want to join, can propose these meeting spaces, which we organize through short cycles. Likewise, all interested creatives can participate through an open call.
