Estratósfera - Sebastián González, Paola López
(2019 - 2020)
It could be said that so far the only thing the scientific community has at its disposal are approximations, models or theories about dark matter. Although these allow us to propose or formulate its existence, they do not describe its behavior. For this reason, this work seeks to offer gradual approaches that will necessarily be influenced by the knowledge available to the viewer.
The dark side of the universe is a crossmedia art installation, created by Estratósfera design collective within the framework of the Surátomica Residency, with the advice of José David Ruiz, professor at the University of Antioquia and the support of Parque Explora, which seeks to generate an experience around the knowledge that the human race has about the fundamental components of the universe. The idea is to imagine what is there, but is not seen and, above all, to visualize what we are not used to seeing.
